# Cancel a post

> Cancel a draft, scheduled or failed post so it never goes out. Call it only when the user asked for this in the conversation; never on your own initiative.

`queue.cancel` · write

- **REST:** `POST /v1/queue/cancel`
- **CLI:** `xholic queue cancel`
- **Scope:** `write`. Destructive: it can't be taken back
